thanks BD!

I really owe my husband a big thank you for the wall he recently did in our bedroom. yes, my husband single handedly accomplished this task. And yes, it was all his idea. I was very impressed and i would now like to give him a big thank you because it really is beautiful!

brett hand painted this wall with a stencil, i was so proud, he did a great job!

The little desk is one that brett and i sanded down and refinished. The desk used to be bright yellow, with gold handles and we of course painted it black and spray painted the handles silver. for free??? yes indeed. I also turned those little glass tea cups into candle holders. I actually did it on a whim one day. i was setting up a surprise for BD and i didn't want the wax to drip on the desk. I grabbed these and put the candles on them, and decided i liked how it looked. It stuck.
I Purchased this mirror, at of course, the DI. It was also gold, very dust and nasty. i painted it black. Its now my favorite thing in the house!
thanks again BD! love it, and i love you!

rachel! you can redo your own room because you have better ideas then i do! i wish i lived in boise still though because painting parties are the best.

breelee! confession, i have totally creeped your blog, and i love your nursery. so so SO cute! the stencil was 12x12 with a 2'' border, so the actual design was 8x8'' we got it at hobby lobby. totally found that less paint is more paint. it tends to bleed if its on too thick- plenty of lovely words were coming from brett's mouth when he found this out. and we used a thicker paint, it helped alot. it made it darker with out bleeding or dripping.

katie ; ) thanks, we miss you.
